You’ve heard how important it is to find your niche and target your marketing, but what have you done about it?
No matter where you are in your speaking journey, this program will speak to you, because less than 10 percent of speakers ever really take the leap. Even fewer come back to tell you exactly how it was done so that you can do it yourself.
In this program, you will not learn from a marketing expert but you will learn from an expert on what a seasoned speaker learned on his journey from unknown generalist to well-known expert. Tom Davidson, CSP spent 10 years in the speaking, training and consulting business before he took target marketing to heart. Since then, his business has more than doubled, and he’s having a lot more fun marketing to and serving more people in his natural niche.
Specifically, Tom will dramatize and help you apply the five-step mega-model that he developed for fellow speakers like you to save you years of frustration and money and to accelerate your transition. In doing so, Tom will share dozens of relatable examples, colorful stories, and hands-on applications to get you started before you leave the room!
Tom has shared these secrets at NSA Pittsburgh, NSA Tennessee, NSA Virginia, the 2015 NSA Convention and the 2016 CAPS Convention, and now NSA Oregon brings it right to your doorstep. Attend this session to get the real-life principles, fast start applications, and motivational afterburners you need to finally find, love, and profit from your natural niche.
Tom Davidson, CSP, PCC, SPHR
Known for his easy going audience interaction, memorable analogies and practical take aways, Tom Davidson works with natural resource organizations and many others who want to accelerate their leaders, get their teams on track, and achieve new results from their leadership pipeline.
Tom learned leadership from the ground up, starting his professional career in the woods as conservation educator and forester, but he worked his way up to vice president of human resources and organization development in the forest products industry at an early age. Along the way, he held various positions in wilderness survival training, fire fighting, public affairs, workforce development, corporate communication, and media relations. Many of his programs harken back to his diverse field experience and timeless principles from the great outdoors.
Tom attributes this success to making twice as many mistakes as everyone else in half the time, which was some of the genesis for his first book, The 8 Greatest Mistakes New Managers Make: Surviving Your Transition to a Leadership Position. Tom is past president of NSA Virginia, a Professional Certified Coach, and a Senior Professional in Human Resources, and a Certified Speaking Professional.
